Hello world!
Welcome to my blog. This is my first blog and I think it only fair to you to insert a couple caveats:
My focus will be educational issues (of course), et cetera, with a lot of leeway in et cetera.
As a member of a University community I have one perspective on the education ecosystem, but certainly not the only one, nor one that is universally valid.
Why am I blogging? A couple thoughts come to mind. The first is personal– that this tool makes me uncomfortable and therefore probably has merit; and second, that the professional development environment is changing at warp speed, but somewhat below the surface, and I have the feeling that in just a few years, PD will be delivered and received in less energy-intensive and more dispersed, ways. Oh heck, the third and most compelling reason is Pat Sine.
My goals for this project are to: 1) maintain a blog with approximately weekly postings that I will share with the NISE-RET community; 2) look at, and learn from, the other bloggers in the NISE group and enjoy the conversation.
